Case Study 1: Institute of Business and Technology
An international business and technology institute in Sydney receives over 300 new international enrolments every semester. Business and technology course teachers do not want to be burdened with students whose English might be below the required level. All of the international students have IELTS test scores, but their actual English skills as they stand now need to be confirmed before being allocated to a course. If any student's English is insufficient, he/she will be provided with further English tuition and support.
